You have the freedom to choose how you’d like to experience our offerings as a Day Visitor. You can arrive fully prepared for self-catering and unwind with your favourite drink from your personal chilled cooler box. Your options are abundant; you can even organize an intimate celebration with your loved ones while taking charge of your meals and beverages. We have Braaiing facilities for you. Alternatively, you might decide to join us solely for a delectable meal at our restaurant or combine it with relaxation and a refreshing swim.

Hiking

Outdoor enthusiasts can explore guided hikes through the picturesque Mthembuskloof Hills, brimming with diverse birdlife. You can even arrange an overnight camping adventure atop the hill, immersing yourself in the African wilderness beneath the night sky.

Our “Dedicated” trails follow traditional cattle paths, offering an authentic hiking experience. Be prepared to navigate streams delicately during the rainy season, with mesmerizing waterfalls enhancing the landscape. These trails can be demanding, featuring rugged terrain with rocks and steep sections. For safety, sturdy, hard-soled hiking shoes are highly recommended.

You have the flexibility to choose from 3km, 5km, or 7km hiking routes. Regardless of your choice, these hikes provide excellent bird-watching opportunities. The symphony of birdsong creates a captivating chorus that enchants all who listen.

Quad Bike Rides

Experience the excitement of our Quad Bike trails that meander through the stunning Mthembuskloof Hills and the surrounding landscape. Prepare for sandy patches, loose gravel, rugged terrain, and the exhilaration of conquering water crossings.

Boat Cruises

Experience the exhilaration of our boat cruises at Mkhombo Nature Reserve, renowned for its rich and vibrant birdlife. Step aboard “Indoni,” our luxurious 9-seater speed boat, and indulge in the excitement of gliding swiftly over rapids. Then, savour the leisurely moments as we embark on a birding and river wildlife safari around the dam during our Early Morning, Lunch time, or Sunset Safari.

Off Road Adventure Bike Tour

We offer thrilling motorbike trails that wind through the picturesque Mthembuskloof Hills and their surroundings. Get ready to tackle sandy patches, loose gravel, rocky terrain, and even conquer water crossings. We offer a comprehensive experience for passionate adventure motorbike riders. All you need to do is show up with your adventure bike, and we’ll take you on an unforgettable tour, lasting between an hour to two hours. The fee covers not only the tour but also includes a delicious lunch and a refreshing drink.

SPA Treatments

FACILITIES ONSITE

Facilities onsite include The Mountain View Bistro: a restaurant and bar set among a lush garden with pristine mountain views. We have a cozy swimming pool and a Boma area.
